These vintage porcelain horse figurines depict the Eight Sacred Horses of King Mu of the Chou Dynasty. The horses stand at an average height of 2.5 inches and are made of porcelain. The figurines feature a white color and horse theme. There is no makers mark. The story of the Sacred Horses originates from China and when I purchased this set it came with an aged paper copy of the story. These figures are not centuries old, just vintage replicas.  Some areas on some of the figures were not completely covered with glaze.  The shorter tail on one of the horses is not broken there is glaze on all surfaces of the tail.  The bottom surface of the legs are not glazed and feels rough on some figures and but are not chipped.  A couple horses have a spot of color that is under the surface of the glaze.  Some figures may need light cleaning.  See photos for details and condition as they are part of the description.  Will be double boxed to prevent breakage during shipment.
