Here is my 1983 vintage, 40-year-old, Fender Strat Elite. This model is very rare.  Featured is a newly designed (in 1983) top mounted "Freeflyte" tremolo system, so it does not have the typical rear spring cover that had been a staple of Stratocaster design from the beginning. The Elite has three dummy-coiled Alnico V pickups, the technical forerunners to the modern Noiseless series, which eliminate hum while [mostly] retaining the classic Strat single-coil tone. The typical 5-way switch is replaced with three individual pickup switches, allowing for two new pickup combos: Neck+Bridge, and all 3 on, which are not accessible via the standard blade switch. Lastly, the Elite introduced the TBX tone circuit and MDX active midrange boost, which appears in several "artist signature" models throughout the late 80s and 1990s. It is missing the tremolo arm. This guitar is solid, it's on the heavy side. There are very minor button marks on back of the guitar (much lighter than buckle rash). So minor that they don't show up in the pictures. Also a few pick marks on the pickguard. You'll need to see it in a glare, barely noticeable. It comes with the original hardshell case.
