The shelves feature 3/8 inch thick tempered glass—also known as toughened glass, a type of safety glass. This type of glass is processed by a controlled thermal or chemical treatment. This process increases its strength compared to normal or annealed glass. When broken, tempered glass crumbles into small granular cubicle pieces, rather than large shards.
Our shelves are available in sizes ranging from 12” x 12” up to 12” x 36” and have a recommended weight capacity of up to 80 pounds. Each shelf is shipped with two Monarch brackets that are available in either white, black or chrome finish. The shelf features include: bright flat polished edges with blunted touch corners. Glass Tops Direct offers an extensive variety of floating glass shelves that vary in depth & length and are available with many decorative and contemporary brackets in several finishes. Our glass shelves are easy to install, and all hardware is included (screws for installation on studs are included). FedEx Ground: Brings the glass to your door. They do not unpack the glass top. They come without a delivery appointment. If you are not home to accept delivery, they will leave a delivery attempt notice with a local phone number and a tracking number. FedEx Ground has limitations on the size of glass tops it will transport, so it is not offered for large size tops. Prices listed are for continental(48) states.
Common Carrier: Items that are too large to be handled by fedex ground are shipped via common carrier. They will notify you before delivery. Since this is a curbside delivery you will be responsible to have the necessary help required to unload the shipment. They are not responsible to bring the merchandise into your home. There are some outlying destination points which may incur an addition freight charge. If that is the case with your order, one of our sales professionals will contact you with any additional freight charges needed for your approval before we process your order.
