According to the auction where I purchased them...These were owned by the famous 1950's Burlesque dancer Sherelle Powell. She was featured on the front of Jet Magazine back in 1957.  The auction had a lot of her estate items.  Sherelle was known for her extensive antique collection that she obtained from her travel overseas.  

Due to age and extensive travel...one of the tusks has a partial breakage.  These pieces are truly unique. Grab them now...you may never find another set like them!
