L-Sam-380 Majestic Bureau Plat in Louis XVI style after Jean Henri Riesener

Product description

Slightly modified model based on a design by Jean Henri Riesener (1734-1806). Various mirror-veneered rosewoods on solid softwood. Extremely finely chased and cast very rich bronze applications. Rectangular body. Banded leather panel, over three drawer frieze of acanthus leaf fittings on conical, fluted legs ending in sabots. The brass work from contre partie consists of climbing foliage.

The table is designed in the Louis XVI style, taking inspiration from the work of the famous ébéniste de roi Jean Henri Riesener. 

The desk is inspired by the famous Bureau plat delivered by Jean-Henri Riesener in 1784 for the Cabinet Intérieur du Roi in Fontainebleau. The Miri's not only change the general shape of Riesener's design, but in keeping with the prevailing style of the late 19th century. century.
