Exotic veneer on solid oak and wood. Extremely finely chased and rich bronze applications. Rectangular body. A hand-painted picture badge on the front and side views. Gilt bronze decorations embedded on the front, flanked by conical, fluted legs ending in sabots. The front and sides each feature circular hand-painted paintings depicting Greek scenes. Frame richly decorated with bronze in the form of fabric curtains / garlands. Body with three drawer frieze made of acanthus leaf fittings. Slightly protruding leather plate (genuine leather) with gold embossing. The bronze works of contre partie consist of climbing leaves. Beautiful patina, with shellac hand polish. The inside of the desk was completely veneered with precious wood. It is a superlative desk and represents the highest class of writing furniture. A real eye-catcher guaranteed.
