An extremely ornate and beautifully carved 19th century Black Forest oak hall chair.  Armorial crest/shield with motto.  Chess board seat with vine edge.  Naturalistic branch legs. Wonderful rich original colour / patina.

Very good strong and original condition.  Losses to one side of the back (scroll missing) and also to the crown at the top.
