Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You're looking at a unique smaller dynamic cardioid microphone with excellent sound quality and it comes with the stock 12 inch gooseneck allowing the operator to get the mic in just the right position needed. It comes with the period Shure S37A model desk stand shown.

I don't know much about these newer Shure VR300 model mics as this is my first example. I think the mic is about 20 something years old? I can tell you that it has strong output with a warm, smooth tone being set at Low impedance and it's unidirectional in nature so you'll want to get right up on this mic when speaking. It has a frequency response of 100 Hz to 7 KHz. Very useful as a podcast mic and if used with a Hi Z transformer makes for a good harp mic.
It will also make an excellent choice for paging and general purpose broadcasting.

A very rugged and reliable model with an all metal design and ebony painted finish.
As you can see there is very lite physical wear on this mic and again, works perfectly. The longer gooseneck is just as nice, it's rigid and flexible giving you any angle needed as it sits on the stand.
The gooseneck is bolted to the S37A.

Pic # 2 is from an old 1970's era catalog showing this very model stand and it's basic characteristics. The combination is quite nice and the S37A makes for a very stable platform for this mic and gives it a bit of height as well. The stand shows just very lite scuff marks but no deep scratches or dents on the original finish and the 4 original pads are in excellent condition.
Total height with stand and mic is appx 14 inches when mic is raised completely upright.
The original cable is appx 3 feet long. It runs through the gooseneck and exits out the rear of the stand. It's soft, pliable and in excellent condition. It also has the quality Switchcraft male XLR end connector for use with most audio equipment. Simply attach any longer XLR cable as an extension if needed.

If you need a quality mic for every day use then you might want to consider this VR300 to get the job done.
