Gibson 1949 Southern Jumbo Sunburst

Description

Like the J-45 and J-50, the Southern Jumbo is a round shoulder type.
The item that has arrived this time is a 1949 Southern Jumbo body with the original small pickguard, and a reset version of the 60's Southern Jumbo narrow neck.

Spruce top, mahogany back and sides, and Jacaranda fingerboard.
Scalloped X bracing, double parallelogram inlay.
The bridge has been replaced with a larger one for durability.
Cracks around the pickguard and back of the body have been repaired to ensure continued use.
The back of the body is overlacquered.

The current string height is 2.5mm at the 12th fret of the 6th string, and 2.1mm at the 12th fret of the 1st string.
There is plenty of room in the saddle height, so it is possible to set up a lower string height.
The neck is currently straight. There is also room for a truss rod.

Vintage acoustic guitars are soaring in price these days, so this time we have a narrow neck replacement, so it's a bargain price.
The weather check and faded sunburst give it a dignified vintage look.
Powerful stroke sound You can enjoy rich and deep sounds with arpeggio ballads and slide plays.
This is a recommended item where you can experience the unique sound of the 40's, which is a little different from the Gibson of the 60's!
