Gibson Late 1960s ES-175D Sunburst Vintage Numbered P.A.F.
Description
The ES-175D, which was born in 1953 and is synonymous with full acoustics. Made in Kalamazoo factory.
The 16"Wide, 3-3 8"Depth maple body is equipped with a numbered P.A.F. with black decals.
Narrow neck with actual measurement value of just under 40mm nut width, 14 head angle. From mid-1965 onwards
TONEPOT is shielded, so POTDATE is unconfirmed.
After replacing the front VolumePOT, I checked the POTDATE and found that it was made in 1967, so although the serial number says it was made in 1965, please think that it was made in the late 1960s.
Peg replacement Krewson, tailpiece replacement Montreux, knob replacement Montreux completed.
At our affiliated workshop, the top strength wood was replaced due to the top falling off. One was added in the middle. There was a crack near the body side jack, so it was touched up after gluing. There is a backing material on the back side. The front volume pot has been replaced, the frets have been replaced, and the fingerboard has been repaired.
In the past, there have been nut replacements, binding adhesive repairs, touch-up history, strap pin additions, and rear Volume POT replacements.
Overall, it has signs of wear that are appropriate for its age, such as weather checks and peeling paint, but it has been perfectly adjusted and has been reborn as a usable vintage item!
B Fairly scratched. There is some signs of use, but there is no problem in normal use.
Truss rod has plenty of room
