LARGE  STUART CRYSTAL GOBLET 

This lovely, large crystal goblet with excellent cutting was produced near Stourbridge by Stuart Crystal. This glass was hand blown and cut. The bowl has been decorated with a cut diamond design. The stem has also been cut as has the underside of the foot has been cut with a  32 point star. The cutting has a sharp feel to it, which is unusual for a mid 20th century glass, which shows that extra care was taken to produce a high quality glass. The underside of the foot carries the "Stuart ENGLAND" etched mark which can be seen in the fourth photo.

The glass is in excellent condition. It is14.6 cms high with a capacity of 250 ml. 

I have listed a number of similar large goblets (see photos above) all of which are large enough for the most enthusiastic wine drinker. Each is a statement glass in its own right. Just imagine the impact of assembling a harlequin set of several different glasses. There would be no excuse for picking up the wrong glass - unless one had too many glasses and by then it might not matter.
