BAFTA Award Best Soundtrack
It’s incredibly rare when an RPG comes out of nowhere, successfully innovating on classic gameplay conceits. Disco Elysium didn’t just do that, though - it flipped the entire genre sideways, like a punch to the proverbial gut. This debut game from developer ZA/UM dominated the awards circuit on PC, and now this generously praised narrative ingenue arrives on consoles, allowing so many more players to fall in love with its divisive, gritty and unflinching approach to storytelling. iam8bit intimately collaborated with ZA/UM to ensure this Collector’s Edition is a testament to the psychological underpinnings of the world, starting with a premium unfolding box that houses a wealth of cognitive artifacts: an illustrated, fabric map of the district of Martinaise; an extravagant handbound art book, flush with never-been-released artwork and stories; an artisanal hand-painted ‘Mind Totem’ resin sculpture; and, of course, a physical edition of the game, cozied inside an elegant slipcase.
