GENERAL DESCRIPTION

We bought this small (4-1/2” High & 5-1/4” overall width) WELL HOOK many years ago because of it’s fine hand-forged workmanship and diminutive size. In addition to the craftsmanship, the hook’s EYE APPEAL is enhanced by the overall graceful form and combination of square and round edges in it’s design. One can find dozens of simple, poorly made round-stock hooks on Ebay that don’t start to compare with this example!

Likely a 19th Century piece, it could be earlier. The design and wonderful age patina says “Early”. While we call it a well hook, it could have been used as a general purpose grappling hook, but it’s a bit small for that. The overall condition is excellent, with no cracks, bends or missing points!

INSURANCE over $100 is not covered in the Ebay-calculated  invoice automatically sent. If additional insurance is desired, message us upon winning this item and wait for our invoice before paying. Insurance cost over $100 is the responsibility of the buyer and will be added to your invoice.

PACKING & SHIPPING

We have lots of experience packing and shipping antiques and collectibles, using bubble wrap and "peanuts" where needed. We ship USPS, Priority, including $100 insurance.  

RETURNS 

Antique and vintage items are rarely 100% "mint", having very minor flaws or at least an in-use patina.  We go to great lengths to exhaustively describe our merchandise and it's condition, including these very minor imperfections, whether in-the-making or post-manufacture.  All sales are final, unless in the opinion of the seller,  we have made an error or omission that significantly detracts from the value of the item sold.
