Hello and welcome to The House of Chrome.

You're looking at a very high quality AKG dynamic hyper cardioid microphone from the 1990's era called the D3700 model which was one of three models offered in that series. The others were the 3800, 3900 & 5900 models as seen in pic # 2 in an older AKG catalog that I have showing all the basic characteristics. This mic comes with a mic clip and mic case shown.

The D3700S has a beautiful warm tone with a great frequency response that would rival any quality dynamic cardioid mic out there. The D3700 also has a very unique design being both sleek, elegant and modern. The flat black finish also give the mic a little bit of aggression as well.

I really like the look of this mic and to my knowledge they are very rugged and seem to last forever as I haven't come across a non-working example yet but these do need refurbishing when it comes to the inner pop filters. I replace any that have gone bad and that was done on this mic. I didn't have to replace the inner pop filter on this mic as the original is in excellent condition.

This D3700 is an all metal design and very lite weight being easy to hold for prolonged periods of time though it can be placed in the mic clip provided. The mic is appx 7 1/4 inches long X 1 3/4 inches across at the tip. If you are looking for a Shure SM-58 tone with a more eccentric look then you're gonna love this AKG D3700.

The physical condition of this mic in quite nice. It does have a few lite scratches & scuff marks here and there but overall very nice. The front screen is perfect with zero odors, dents or paint loss.  I'd rate this mic a conservative 8 on a scale of 1 - 10 physically speaking.

The mic clip is an AKG type that grips the mic firmly and just as nice as the mic. The clip will screw onto any stand you have as well. It provides a wide degree of tilt up and down and really compliments the D3700.

You'll see that the original D3700 case is included. It's a rugged plastic design with inner foam padding and a locking mechanism on the lid. A great place to store the mic when not in actual use that will keep the mic safe and snug. It's in very good overall condition with just very lite wear. No fractures or damage. Great for resale value as well.
