Stunning large reclaimed antique original front door pull/ knob. Made from cast iron with a copper plate finish, looks almost rose gold or pink colour when seen in person. Believed to be early 1800s Georgian/ Victorian Period going by similar examples seen online. Makers initials on the backplate T P & S which I have'nt been able to identify, also has a model no. 9315. Excellent overall condition but has acouple of areas with no copper plate, around the dome tip and a small area on the backplate, this can be rotated so its not visible from above, pls refer to images. Seller restored, fully cleaned and ready to go, no metal polishers were used, I have left afew spots of original verdigris or oxidisation to show its age. On the heavy side as you would expect, 570g overall weight. Square nut looks like solid copper but upon close inspection has a very thick layer of copper plate, see image. Possibly unique, cant find anything similar online, a real statement piece, only appreciated when seen in person, pictures 2, 3 and 4 were taken outdoors in natural light.
