A nice clean and usable Stanley No.5803 hand operated wood drill .

The drill was taken apart but the grease looked to be in a reasonable condition so it was left alone

This is an egg beater type drill .

The finish is good with plenty of black paint  there is some age related wear and tear damage .

The main handle is in a good condition , the plastic feels smooth.

The cranking handle is firmly fitted in place.

There is some yellow paint  on the round disk ,beware the paint is worn and missing in places.

The chuck does open and closes ,the  three clamps in the chuck  meets nicely when they are wound out. There may be some dirt left in the chuck.

The overall  length of the drill is 12-1/2" long .

The drill is a single speed drill .

The chuck is stamped with MK 2

The movement of the cranking handle is quite smooth.
