Sunn Mustang 1980's

This is one of the collectable 'made in India' guitars.   There is a lot to be read about these on Google.

The necks on these Mustangs are a comfortable C shape & play really well this one has a low action of 1.8mm at the 12 fret. It has a Rosewood fretboard which is 42mm at the nut, with nice wide frets in good condition with little play wear. The truss rod adjustment is at the heel on these models.

The body is full size at 41mm deep and nice and resonant, the wood type is black limba which is indigenous to India. The electrics are original & sound good with no problems, just missing the plastic tip to the selector switch.

These Sunn Mustangs are unique* as the bridge is 50mm (with 10mm saddles).  The neck heel and pocket  are approx 54-55 mm. It looks like the previous owner started to try & relic the finish & I now know I won’t get round to refinishing the guitar myself, hence the sale. All in all a well set up Strat that plays & sounds great but needs finishing to your own aesthetic, or play as is. Please see photos for condition as they form part of the listing. Let me know if you have any questions.
