This model came out in 2010, and its build quality is amazing. Super-solid, no flexes or squeaks whatsoever. Ridiculously heavy, at about 30 lbs....and that's before adding batteries! It measures 24 inches wide, 15.6 inches tall, and 6 inches deep. TDK was so proud of it that they added a tripod mount on the bottom in case you wanted to show it off that way.
Everything works! Which is pretty hard to find with this model. Most of them don't work right because someone broke a knob off or installed the firmware incorrectly.
Beautiful, rich sound with lots of bass. Adjustable bass and treble. And despite the name, there's actually 5 speakers, because it's got tweeters mounted co-axially with the left & right woofers. The output is 35W (2x10W to the left & right speakers, and 15W to the subwoofer).
It can play flash drives (MP3 or WMA), 3.5mm line input, RCA input, guitar/mic input, AM/FM radio, and iPods/iPhones. NOTE: This model came out 14 years ago, so it was designed to interface with the iPhone 3GS. I don't know if it can connect to today's iPhones.
There's a few fingernail scratches on the glossy piano-black surface, but otherwise it's very nice! It's got a solid aluminum handle with a leather pad underneath. You can see in the pics that this pad is drooping because the glue came loose. This is very common with this model. You could re-apply some glue, or just leave it like it is (it never bothered me). Also some small flakes have come off the leather.
