     The origin of the name '' Dahlrose '' is unclear. Introduced in the late twenties,style glaze...matte to satin motte. Dahlrose has a smoothly textured background and an embossed band of softly defined realistic flowers. It wears a daisy chain...a necklace of big ivory colored daisies mingled with green leaves. It terra cotta colored background is mottled with ivory and an earthy green that blends into creases and smoothes over handles and rims. , with wide yellow petals and serrated green leaves. The motifs are conventionalized to form a repeating border design, modeled in low relief. Backgrounds are textured, with a greenish brown wash. 

     This Beautiful Roseville Pottery '' Dahlrose '' Brown Wall Pocket with handles, shape no;1258-8'', measure is 8 1/4'' tall and on the top between handles 7'' wide. There is some residue from being used on the mouth( see in the picture ) and a small glaze skip on the rim ( see in the picture ) no chips, no cracks, damage or any kind of repair. Great mold.
