GUILD D-35

Description

A 70's vintage sound with a sharp, dynamic sound.
At the time, it was a model equivalent to the Martin D-18, and although it was not a high-end model, it was a popular model for its wild and unique tone.
Guild was a popular brand along with Martin and Gibson in the 1970s, and was a highly popular instrument used by many famous artists, but unfortunately it is no longer as popular today due to factory relocations and company sales. I am.
However, the original early 1980s instruments are prized for their unique, powerful tones. Even though it's vintage at the time, it's also reasonably priced compared to Martin and Gibson, so the bargain price is one of its charms.
The top is spruce and the back and sides are all solid wood. Mahogany neck, rosewood fingerboard, and Jacaranda bridge.
It is equipped with Guild's original design pegs, and although there is some torque irregularity, there is no problem with operation.
The original nut and original frets have been adjusted, the neck angle has been corrected, and the saddle has been replaced.
It has been burnt to a dark color, and there are some dents and surface scratches, but it is in very nice condition and still has the shine it had when new.
It is a regular grip neck with a nut width of about 42.5 mm.
It has been adjusted straight and there is plenty of room for the adjustment rod.
The string height is 2.4 mm for the 6th string and 1.9 mm for the 1st string above the 12th fret, making it easy to play but with a sense of tension.
This string height action ensures a firm saddle height.
It has a sharp, edgy sound with a lot of volume, and a unique sound that is both gorgeous and rough.
In the 1970s, it was said to have a tone somewhere between Martin and Gibson, but it has a unique hard sound that is different from either.
Since then, Guild has been popular among folk players, with Paul Simon and John Denver being especially famous. Yosui also used it in Japan, right?
I think it has a unique and powerful sound that feels good to play.
