Donald's Garden Donald Duck Animation Drawing (Walt Disney, 1942).

Donald's prized watermelons are a little too good. They've attracted some unwanted attention and now a hungry gopher is after as many as he can get his little hands on, tunneling them out right under Donald's beak. The duck tries his best to stop him, as shown in this lovely 12 field 5-peghole animation drawing found at about 6:21 in the Dick Lundy-directed short. He aggressively covers one of the holes, only for the gopher to pull a string of watermelons through another. This full figure graphite with color pencil drawing measures about 5.75'' x 2.75'' and is noted as 75 in the lower right corner. The animation drawing is in Very Good condition overall with minor edge and handling wear and light age-related toning.
