Near FINE condition leather hardcover copy of Letters on The Spirit of Patriotism; On the Idea of A Patriot King; and On the State of Parties, at the Accession of King George the First by Henry St. John, Viscount of Bolingbroke. 1st Authorized Edition, published 1749 by A. Millar, London UK. Appears to have been professionally re-bound in sturdy brown calf leather with banded spine and gold lettering. Binding is tight and pages are unmarked, with the exception of ~1" x 0.5" chip and ~1" closed tear to head p. 45, minor toning to endpapers, and minor very occasional foxing, especially to first and last few pages.
