Shutter count only 15801.

This cameras internal infrared blocking filters have been removed and replaced with clear optical quartz glass.

Add your own filters like the popular 720nm or 590nm to your lens for infrared photography.

Or use for Astronomy. The choice is yours.

Please note for best results it is necessary to shoot RAW files allowing for best white balance manipulation in post processing.

With free Nikon NX Studio software it is easy to adjust white balance to personal preference. Instructions included.


Good focus with camera live view and with Nikon 18-55mm kit lens & 50mm f1.8 D.

The Nikon 18-55mm kit lens is highly recommended as very sharp and no hot spot.

Comes unboxed with original Nikon charger / battery, and neck strap only. (No lens is included).

Photo examples are examples of what can be achieved with this camera and 590nm & 720nm filter (not included).

Every effort is made to eliminate dust but some tiny specks maybe visible at small apertures. Please read my feedback for peace of mind.

Focus has been adjusted very slightly for the shift in infrared light.
