A little about the model:

This is the Monogram kit built Out if the Box. The model was painted with a combination of Model Master, Tamiya, and Vallejo Acrylics. It was coated with Future floor polish and washed with oils and weathered with pastels to its present condition. Model Master Acryl Finish was used to seal the aircraft and it is marked as an aircraft used by the US Navy.

A little about the modeler:

This is one of hundreds of scale models that I have built since getting back into the hobby in 2004. I am an award-winning modeler with 4.005 awards that included shows in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, Missouri, and Kansas. Additionally, I have placed in the IPMS Nationals Competitions held in Virginia Beach, Omaha, Phoenix and San Marcos in recent years. I am a Distinguished Donor to the USS Lexington Museum in Corpus Christi with eleven pieces in the scale model collections. I have many commission projects to my credit and am willing to build on your specifications.

A little about the listing:

This listing is for the item listed above. Not one that looks like it. Not one that will be built to look like it. Not one mass produced in some far-off land. You get this exact one. I will pack the piece in a way that I have incredible success with. I sandwich the model between layers of foam to securely ship the piece. SEE PHOTOS ABOVE. Cutouts in the foam are used to let landing gear, probes, and underwing stores to hang freely so they don't break. Once the box is sealed, it is placed in another box with more padding and sealed for shipment. THESE MODELS ARE VERY IMPORTANT TO ME AND I CONSIDER THEM MY ART. I TAKE THEIR SHIPMENT VERY SERIOUSLY. If there is an instance where a piece falls off, those are usually easy to fix and I can walk you through that. I ship via the USPS Priority Mail as to have protection against loss and damage. If you are concerned about damage during shipping please opt for the USPS insurance. If you have any questions please let me know BEFORE committing to purchase this piece.
