Beautiful Vintage Clear Glass Crescent Shaped Side Dish / Bone Dish

Full dish is clear glass with a smooth base and grooved lines for the design on the sides.  Grooves are on the outside of the dish so the sides on the inside of the dish are smooth.  Dish is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, stains, or any other signs of use.  No markings as to maker / brand.  Measures 8" long, 4" wide, and 1" deep.  Originally dishes like this were used as bone dishes allowing guests to put the remains of their meat entree in them instead of leaving on the dinner plate.  The pattern is simple enough to be used with many different patterns or sets now and used as a salad or dessert plate, serving a side dish or appetizer, or many other uses.  Nice for setting at individual place settings with the curve going along side a round plate.  Also placing it on a buffet or serving table saves space since it can be closer to a round dish than if all dishes were round leaving unused space on the serving area.
