On offer here is this vintage school pulldown Phillips, commercial map of the world. 190cm wide X 135cm, IN GREAT CONDITION. This lovely old map was printed in 1983 and is a geographical map of the world. it shows countries in different colours, cities, towns and borders. It also shows the world’s oceans with shipping routs. I see a lot of these old maps in German Dutch, sometimes French, but this is quite rare to find a nice big clean one like this in English. These old charts are very popular at the moment they are interesting,very decorative and conversation starters and luckily for us it has spent its life rolled up in a school cupboard so the colours are still bright and the condition is a1 excellent. They bring a lot of charm to any room in the house. There's something about the colours in this map which is very decorative and evocative of this era of the mid 20th century, also the fact it is screenprinted along with the wooden poles all add something to its charming atmosphere.
