VINTAGE (?) REVOLUTIONARY WAR TOY SOLDIERS
I will be listing several lots, made-up from all the leftover stragglers at the bottom of the toy box.
Purchased as "vintage" from two different sources, I'm a bit suspicious: While there are a couple of damaged pieces (missing flag & chewed pitchfork, lying on the ruler), most of these figures are very, VERY FRESH-LOOKING. I know BMC acquired MPC's molds and has started reissuing this line, but I've not had an opportunity to compare the old & new, and I have no idea how the base markings have changed, if at all.
I will note that the embossed stars & stripes have been omitted from the red flag and that several of the figures have slight color variations... there is some variation from figure to figure, as well as variation in the color intensity on some individual figures, resulting in virtual transparencies here and there.
My best guess is that some or all are reissued by BMC... either that, or these are the prettiest/cleanest/finest MPC figures I've ever seen out-of-the-bag!
