Purchased at the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite in 1970, this Native American Navajo 10” handmade doll wears a rich red velvet dress adorned with colored beaded jewelry. Her black hair is also adorned with beads. She wears a layered underskirt and pantaloons, with red shoes. Her original rubber hands have little by little crumbled over the years and have finally disintegrated altogether, but it’s hardly noticeable. She has one of the prettier painted faces of similar dolls. She is over 50 years old.
