For sale here is this fantastic pair of original 1960s mid century armchairs from Czech Republic original condition designed by Jaroslav Šmidek

Fast becoming one of my most popular models. This particular pair look like they have been recovered sometime in the last 10/15 years. The good thing about this means when they were in the workshop, they would have been completely restored and re-glued so The chairs are strong and sturdy. The springs are good. They are in great condition.

Made sometime around 1965 this pair of chairs from the Czech Republic are typical of the design used in this era from Eastern Europe. Very much influenced by Halabala chairs using steam bent wood for the arms.

The Main features of these chairs are the Open arms using a Single piece of steam bent beechwood for the arms design also the splayed tapering legs all of this combined is very pleasing to the eye and would bring a lot of style to any room in the house . There is a spring mechanism in the seat, they are firm but comfortable.

CONDITION.
As they are at the moment, they are strong and sturdy and the wood and springs are all in good condition. They look like they were reupholstered sometime in the last 10/15 years. Using this purple material which suits the style of chair very well.
