This auction is for an antique E. Ingraham Co. Eight Day HERA-1872 Mantel Clock.

This clock is perfect for someone knowledgeable on these types of clocks as their are a few minor issues whereas a tuneup would do this magnificent antique wonders.

I do not know much of anything about these clocks so please take a good look at the photos and decide for yourself if this is what you want as I am selling this clock AS IS.

Unfortunately as you can see from the one photograph that one of the round pieces of metal hardware is missing where the back door hinges on. Thankfully the back door still closes tightly and securely by just inserting it into the lower hinge combined with turning the handle knob which you normally use to lock the door.

I am unsure if there is a wooden piece missing on the bottom of the clock that either connects or slides on. I only say this because there is an access hole down there and it seems like it should be covered up.

I am unsure if the pendulum is the original one that came with this clock or if it is a replacement. The key as you can see is definitely a modern/cheap aftermarket replacement.

It appears the the metal piece connected to the hammer is bent or has been bent multiple times as it doesn’t appear like it should. This is probably an easy fix to set it/bend it back to the proper position.

The issues above are the only ones I was able to figure out myself with limited information. Perhaps there are additional issues I’m not sure although I don’t think so.

The clock is actually in pretty good shape after all these years. It’s really cool seeing the original label from the manufacturer on the back door in near perfect condition.
