GENUINE 1980's VINTAGE BRITISH ARMY ISSUE 1985 PATTERN DPM COMBAT TROUSERS

SERVICEABLE GRADE-2 USED CONDITION WITH FLAWS - SIZE 70/80/96 29"w 26.5"l

This is a pair of genuine vintage British Army issue 1985 pattern combat trousers, these were the replacement for the 1968 pattern uniform and were in service until they were replaced by the Temperate Pattern uniform in the 1990's.

Trousers feature button waist with zip fly, pull tab side adjusters, buttoned belt loops, two hip pockets, two huge thigh cargo packets and two rear pockets, they are part-lined and are made from a hardwearing DPM print cloth.

The SL31b contract code on this pair puts manufacture to around 1986, the manufacturer is J. Compton Sons & Webb Ltd, unlike contemporary British issue trousers these were made in the UK!

CONDITION: Trousers are in serviceable Grade-2 used condition, they have been issued and worn so they are not mint and there are flaws, there is general light wear and fade from service use and many years of storage. The leg length has been shortened, this has been done well with machine stitching, there is a 2cm hole to the waistband on the left hip where the seam stitching has come away, this could easily be repaired. These are nowhere near mint but perfectly serviceable and the bargain price reflects condition.

SIZE: Label size is given as 70/80/96, as stated they have been tailored on the leg length, bear in mind the waist can be adjusted down by at least 2" using the pull tab adjusters, on the tape measure it comes up as follows: 29" waist (A fraction over!), 26.5" inside leg, 36.5" total length. Due to the seat being generous these should fit more like a 28" inside leg.

A classic piece of late Cold War British Army uniform, clearance price, must be of use to someone!
