PBC-21 is a premium automotive clear which meets National Rule standards. PBC-21 is a medium solids clear requiring no reduction. It is easy to apply and easy to polish, with a brilliant DOI. PBC-21 works with multiple activator speeds for total control.

Suggested Uses: An economy clearcoat for automotive, parts painting or truck painting over Platinum Basecoat

Components: 
PBC-21  (Clear Coat)
PBF-21, PPM-21, PBS-21  (Fast/Medium/Slow Hardener) 

Mixing Ratio: 4:1 Mix four (2) parts PBC-21 Clearcoat to one (1) part selected hardener 

Pot Life: 2 hours at 77°F (25°C)

Application: Apply: Two to three medium wet coats/ Allow 10-15 minutes flash between coats/ Scuff after 24 hours, before re-coating 

                      Spray Gun: HVLP Gravity Feed: 1.3 - 1.5mm tip and needle

                      Conventional: 1.3 - 1.5mm tip and needle
                     
                      Film Build: 50 - 62.5 microns (2.0 - 2.5 mils.) when applied as directed

Dry Times:

Dust Free: 30 minutes at 77°F (25°C)
Tack Free: 10 - 15 minutes at 77°F (25°C)
Sand & Polish: 12 - 24 hours at 77°F (25°C)
Force Dry: 5 minute flash: 35 minutes at 140°F (60°C)

Sand & Polish: After 1 hour cool down

VOC: Regulatory VOC: 565.79 g/l (4.72 lbs/gl)

           Actual VOC: 534.95 g/l (4.46 lbs/gl)

Solids: By Volume: 37.81%/33.31% (as mixed)

            By Weight: 43.87%/39.31% (as mixed)

Specific Gravity: 7.76 lbs/gl (0.93 kg/l)

Coverage: 388.49 square feet per gallon at 100% transfer efficiency, at 50 microns (2 mils) 36.06 square meters per gallon at 100% efficiency, at 50 microns (2 mils)

Repainting: After 24 hours at 77°F (25°C). Sand is recommended for best adhesion. After force dry recommendations are complete, allow cool down for 1 hour prior to sand and recoat.

Storage Stability: One year for A (clear) component, 6 months B (Hardener) component in closed package, in a cool and dry place, away from any heat source.
