Description

This is a Rare Antique Alice in Wonderland Book by Carrol Lewis.
It was published Circa 1911.
The Publisher is Raphael Tuck & Sons.
It has 12 illustrated color Plates by Mabel Lucie Attwell.
The front cover has gold leaf or gold stamping to create the designs and words.
There are 22 pics below.

All the color pics are in pretty good condition with no rips or tears to the colored sections. The outer edges of many are worn but the color pics are still fine.  I saw 2 small tears to the white border on the outer edge.
The Cheshire Cat & the Mouse's Tale page show wrinkling from a water spill which has reached some of the color areas.
A few other pages show some water discoloration on the white borders but not to the color pics.
Some of the printed areas of the book without the pics show wear and stains from use.  But the stories are mostly very clean without any damage at all.

The Binding is in need of TLC.  Approx 7 of the colored pics are unattached.  All the printed pages are intact.  You can see that the unattached ones show where some sort of repair was made with tape.  But there is no damage again to the colored prints.  I've shown pics of these.

I recommend turning the pages carefully as the binding is sensitive.

The original owners name was Dorothy Lewis.  It is signed with the date of Christmas 1914.  I know a little more about Dorothy Lewis if anyone cares.

I'm not a book collector.  My husband bought abandoned storage in the late 1980's and this was among the items I found in his storage after he passed away.  I tried to describe the book as best I could, but I am not a professional in grading of any kind.
