The Rat was born in the seventies out of a need to supply Australia s best motorcycle racers with riding gear that was as tough as they were. A local alternative to the predominately USA and Euro brands. With designs that reflected the personalities of our best riders and give them the individuality they deserved.
Rat racing gear was soon appearing on motocross and motorcycle road racing start lines all over Australia. And the rat was breeding into other forms of extreme action sports. Skating. Surfing. BMX and Speedway. Influencing a generation of adrenaline-infused enthusiasts who were keen to go the rat on the street. rat clothing was action-orientated. anti-establishment. and it belonged to the young people who wore it.

If you need to return something you’ve got 30 days to do so. We don’t do old-school ‘exchanges’ as a lot of the time we may not have any stock left to swap over or it has already sold out by the time your return gets back to us and your refund is processed.
As you know, the majority of our products are competitively priced limited time deals and because of this we only offer refunds for ease. You can then jump online to repurchase a suitable deal for you when it suits you.

To let you in on a little secret, we report on the amount of items that get dispatched on the same day and reward our team for achieving the highest of results.

- Dispatch is based on items leaving our Gold Coast warehouse.
