Description
Founded in 1977, Headway Guitars made a comeback after a major factory fire in the 1980s. Based on the philosophy of the late master builder Yasuo Momose, who has been involved with the brand since its founding, it is a long-established domestic brand that continues to produce high-quality musical instruments despite a very small production system.
While maintaining the high precision of headway assembly and the sense of security that allows you to play with confidence for a long time, we have revised some specifications and manufacturing processes to improve cost performance.
Like the higher-grade AskaTeamBuild series, we use traditional construction methods that require a high level of skill, such as post-preparation of the neck and dovetail joints.
The HN-BARCORT that has arrived this time is a small New Yorker style with a 645mm long scale.
Sitka spruce top, Indian rosewood sides and back, one-piece mahogany neck, Richlite fingerboard bridge, 645mm scale, 42mm nut width, Goto tuners, scalloped bracing.
The bracing pattern has been revised so that vibrations resonate firmly even with a small body, and the 14th fret joint has been adopted to make it easier to handle.
The firmness typical of a long scale creates a solid outline without the bass sound becoming swollen like when a short scale is matched to a small guitar, so it seems suitable for solo guitars.
The neck is straight and the truss rod has plenty of room.
The string height is low and has been set up, and the playability is good.
Although there is some damage to the frets, the peaks are still solid and I don't feel the need to rub them together.
There are some small scratches on the body, but overall it shows little signs of use and is in good condition.
