This is a certificate issued by the "Overseas Club" on Empire Day 1915 to children who had helped to send "some comfort and happiness to brave sailors and soldiers of the British Empire, fighting to uphold Liberty, Justice, Honour and Freedom in the Great War.  The Overseas Club was under the patronage of H.M. the King.  This certificate was issued to an Ivy Cobbold.  The item is made of paper and measures 19.9cm x 12.7cm.

The item is in a good condition.  Very slight waviness to item and some tiny bits of paper residue to reverse - item has been in an album in the past.  General edge and corner rubs, tiny crease at top left hand corner, light browning along top edge, some light brown speckles to front of item - mainly to borders, tiny bit of paper residue to border, light browning and some tiny marks to reverse. Overall a very nice item considering it's age and type.  Please check scans carefully as they help with condition too.

Please note surface mail or first class inland mail options are always available, please ask for a quote.

Overseas postage - please note I only charge what it costs me to send the item. I do pack my cards well to withstand a long journey and to try and ensure that they are well protected against damage and weather, this means that the package does not fit through the 5mm letter slot and is sent as a small parcel. I can however send many postcards for the same cost as one.

I try to be accurate with my descriptions but if you have any questions please contact me. Take a look at my other auctions and ebay shop items for more collectable items.
