This is my high quality CMoy headphone amp with added Adjustable Bass Boost (ABB) function
High quality audio
usually mean reproducing audio source signal as close as possible to original.
Lowest possible distortion, flat frequency response, no EQ.
So why the bass boost?
When we listening to live music or good speakers, we
listening with our ears, of course. However part of low frequency bass energy
we “listening” with our body.
When we listening
through headphones, we missing that “body listening” information, which is felt
as a lack of bass.
To compensate this
effect, we need slightly bass boost on lowest frequency, without impact on mid
band.
Instead of simple bass
boost switch with one setting, I designed Adjustable Bass Boost (ABB) , so you
can adjust amount of bass boost, depending on your headphones, music you listen
to and personal preferences.
This amp can easily drive almost any headphones with 16ohm to 600ohm
impedance and greatly improve the sound quality and boost the weak output of
your DAP, phone, DAC, soundcard or any other music source.

Hammond enclosure, front panel options are Gold, Silver and Black
I designed Printed Circuit Board
(PCB) for this amp, employing principles used in HI-END audio, such
as the shortest possible signal path and power supply caps as close as possible
to the op-amp power leads. All parts, including volume pot and jacks, are on PCB and there is only one cable to the battery.
All audiophile-grade parts are
carefully selected for the best possible sound quality through long
experiments and listening sessions.
