Burnished European laid paper in several colours, 19 x 11.8 cm183 leaves, Nasta'liq script by one copyist, lay-out in the shape of Matn and marginal Sharh, but all this is used for the main text, central text area has 11 lines to the page, black ink with use of rubrication, not dated, but on f.182a is a date note in Ottoman Turkish: Jumada II H.E. 1032 (A.D.1622), which can serve as a date ante quem, miniature portrait of Sa'di the author, now rather faded, on f1b; full-leather Oriental binding with blind tooled ornamentation (border, center piece) and a full-leather doublure flap apparently lost. Evidently a manuscript from the Ottoman realm. Title on f.2b.
