Gibson Melody Maker Bass "Sparkling Burgundy" '68
Description
SG shape melody maker bass. Good product with full original parts.
This melody maker has been in the SG shape since 1966, but there are only a few bass ones.
301 2 inch short scale with narrow neck.
Equipped with a single pickup similar to the EB-O, it has a very thick sound that is unique to Gibson.
Although there are some scuffs, small scratches, and weather checks throughout, it is in good condition with little signs of use considering its age.
Approximately 80% of the frets remain, and the neck is in good condition with no noticeable warping or curling.
There is plenty of room in both truss rods, and the electrical system is in good condition.
The pickguard has cracks due to shrinkage.
I set the string height to be about 2.0mm above 12F for the 1st string and about 2.5mm above 12F for the 4th string, but I can play without any problems.
I think it's easy to play even if you switch guitarists.
