A superb miniature porcelain table produced by German manufacturer Meissen in a form I've been unable to find another example of.

It has an amusing hand painted scene on the top depicting a woman placed upon a wheeled unit with two alerted bystanders.

Complete with garland detailing and fantastic cherub table legs that terminate on gilt claw feet.

In fantastic condition with no chips or cracks - has Meissen crossed blue sword mark with asterisk underneath which dates the the piece to the Marcolini period (1774-1814). This coincides with the end of the Neoclassical period, which is represented in the style of the table legs.

Height: 8.5 cm - Length: 11.5 cm - Width: 10 cm
