The lower compartment is lined with thin plywood

No key for the locking clasps

I honestly don't know the age of the bag, might be newer than 1930. If I were to guess it's age it is between 1920-1940

Lower compartment inside:  14-1/2" L x 4-1/4" W x 4-1/4" T

These dimensions can vary given it is made of leather.
