Thomas Sidney Cooper RA. (1803-1902), was an English landscape painter noted for his images of cattle and sheep.
this earned him the epithet " Cow Cooper ".
Cooper was elected a full member of the Royal Academy in 1867.
One of his most prestigious commissions was from Queen Victoria who commissioned him to paint her herd 
of Jersey cows.
