For your consideration, I am offering this rare - Doulton Burslem Oval Wall Plaque in a "blue and white" pattern picturing a Young Woman and Small Child titled "Girl Filling Mother's Basket"... This wall plaque is part of the Blue Children Seriesware and made in England..circa 1895..

These beautiful "Blue Children" wares were manufactured in the 1890's and were discontinued by the 1930's. They always featured children and young women. Originally these ware were called "Blue Figures", but were renamed due to the fact that they featured children...The Flow Blue technique was used to create the soft misty effect in the Blue Children ware. Romantic sylvan scenes depict angelic girls and boys, immaculately dressed in frilled bonnets and smocks or velvet knickerbockers.. The children enjoy picnics, gathering berries and flowers or searching for fairies. 

This lovely wall plaque measures approximately 13.75 inches (34.9cm) by 10 3/8 inches (26.67cm) ...

Back stamp in brown states Burslem - Doulton - England - was in use from 1891 until 1902, so this would be possibly be a first issue of this piece...

Light signs of previous use should be expected consistent with age, Overall condition is very nice - minimal micro scratches, rub with the exception of a possibility of firing defect to the glaze - I notice one area on the backside bottom rim area - some light glaze crazing is certainly present.. The gold trim on the porcelain plaque looks nice with around 90% intact...The porcelain wire attachments are there but will need to either at the wiring or any other method you decide to use to hang the plaque..
