Very rare and stunning, complete Coca-Cola stained-glass Chess Set. Issued by Franklin Mint in 1997 under official licence from the Coca-Cola company.
The playing surface is inspired by the early 1900s 'Coca-Cola' stained-glass lamps. It is crafted with hand-cut, individually-smoothed panels of authentic Victorian-style stained glass, arranged and soldered into place. The finished board is set into a hand-assembled hardwood frame, with Victorian-style open fretwork. The Coca-Cola logo appliques to all four sides are individually painted with fine enamels and embellished with 22 carat gold. The bodies of all the chess pieces are based on the design of a 'Coca-Cola' syrup dispenser of the 1890s. Each is hand-enamelled in either red or white to denote the opposing sides, and all are lavishly accented with 22 carat gold.
This chess set has been opened, but has not been used. It comes in its complete, original packaging, with booklet and Certificate of Authenticity.
The set is a fine collectable and is therefore suitable for adults.
Postage is by Isle of Man Post Office Parcels (Tracked 48).
