ESP GB R Snow White
Description
The popular GROOVER, released in 2016 with an offset body and simple specifications, has undergone a model change.
Due to this change, the model name will also change from GROOVER to GB, which is used in E-II.
At first glance, it may be difficult to tell where the model has changed, but improvements have been made in various areas.
In terms of materials, the body material has been changed from white ash to alder, and the body thickness has been changed from 40mm to 42mm in consideration of weight balance. The neck material has not changed, but in addition to the traditional hard maple, you can now choose the popular rosewood for the fingerboard. The nut material has been changed from brass to unbleached cow bone. The frets are Jesker as before, but they have been changed to FW55090-NS, which is one size larger.
The hardware used to be made by HIPSHOT, but has been changed to made by GOTOH. In addition, with the bridge change, it is also possible to back-thread the strings.
The pickup was changed to Bartolini's soap bar type dual coil and Seymour Duncan's J type single coil. The controls have been changed to the volume of each pickup and the master tone configuration. Of course, the passive style, which does not have a built-in EQ circuit, is still alive and well.
The outline of the body and head has not changed, but the inside has been changed to the point where it can be said to be a completely different product.
