King Saxello Soprano Saxophone Background:

The picture tells the story.  Here is a soprano saxophone in a newer, more convenient form.  And there is a real, definite improvement in tonal quality.  Playing is made easier and appearance improved in this patented saxophone.

The is not an untried novelty.  Offered to the public two year ago, it is being played today by many of the finest saxophonists in America.  In this new, improved instrument, you get all the fine qualities of the King Bb straight soprano, plus:

1.      Improved Tone.  The entirely new principle of bell construction-a right-angle turn at the end of the air-column gives an added depth and beauty to the tone.

2.      Added Comfort.  All the awkward positions of the straight soprano are eliminated. You play the Saxello just as you do an EB Alto in the natural, easy way.

3.      Ease of playing.  Fingering is natural.  There is no stretching or cramping.  The Saxello is perfectly balanced, and the bell can be rested on your knee without fogging lower notes.  It is easier to hold in playing middle C sharp than any other model.

4.      Better flash.  The Saxello adds to the appearance of any group.  It is different and has beauty in every curved line.

Offering the first practical improvement in design since Sax built his first soprano models, the Saxello is time proven and worthy of your serious consideration. --King Saxophone Catalog, 1927.
