Crews Maniac Sound VINTAGE LINE LED CUSTOM w K&T IMD-57 | Fabric Lacquer Finish

Description

A custom model that goes above and beyond the standard model is characterized by its details.
The black color, which looks simple at first glance, actually has depth, and combined with the curve of the top of the body, it creates an atmosphere unique to high-end models. The body material is a one-piece piece of precious Honduran mahogany. This thick Honduran mahogany, which is no longer easily available even in Japan, has been seasoned for a long time.

The tone of Honduran mahogany and general African mahogany are quite different even though they are the same mahogany wood. I think the tone of African mahogany has a flat wide range tone with no peaks. Honduran mahogany's tone has a similarly wide range, but it can be said to have a distinctive peak in the midrange. This peak creates a very musical and instrumental tone. Considering that the play style that this custom model was originally targeted at was a miniaturized full acoustic guitar for jazz guitarists, the tone is understandable, and it can be said to have fulfilled its purpose admirably.

However, since it is just a solid guitar, it is also suitable for music other than jazz. In particular, the fusion of bright attack sound + long tone is something you will never experience with other guitars.

Another important point is that the entire guitar sounds in a well-balanced manner, which is a unique feature of the Cruise. Not only is it easy to play, but the guitar sounds great. For example, you can plug it into a driven amp, play a rock riff, then turn down the guitar's volume and instantly get a jazzy tone. In order to create a musical instrument like this, it is not a matter of assembly-related issues, but rather the raw sound of the instrument. If you lower the volume of the guitar a little, you will be able to experience the rich low end of the instrument itself.

The pickup is equipped with K&T hand-winding IMD-57.
This pickup reproduces the characteristics of vintage pickups by narrowing the magnetic field with a low carbon slug similar to the original PAF. Additionally, the cellulose acetate bobbin, which has a low electrostatic load, reduces the hazy sound. The result is a clear and tight vintage tone, while still having the power feel of a brand new pickup. The magnet is Alnico 3, but even when you turn down the guitar's volume, it doesn't sound weak or distant, and you can hear the attack clearly. I don't think any other hand-wound pickup can reproduce this tone.

In addition, the internal wiring uses vintage Belden wire from the early 60's and N.O.S WestCap hermetic capacitors.

Comes with a special hard shell case and pickguard. The pickguard can be delivered with the item attached.
