M-IICTM, which is the main model of the ESP brand along with HORIZON, has undergone a model change. The basic specifications of the 3-piece hard maple through-neck structure, alder wing body, 24 frets, and 2 humbuckers, which have been unchanged for over 30 years since its birth, will remain the same, but the specifications will be changed to include even more variations.
With this model change, you can now choose the specifications that better suit your preferences.
First, the pickup mounting method is now a direct method that attaches directly to the hanging escutcheon body, resulting in a tighter sound. At the same time, the pickups were also changed to a more modern sounding EMG57TW EMG66TW set. By raising the volume knob, the bridge side pickup becomes single mode, and by raising the tone knob, the neck side pickup becomes single mode.
In addition, while the bridge was previously available only with Floyd Rose, a fixed type that attaches directly to the body has been added to the lineup. By tensioning the strings from the back of the body, the tension is slightly stronger, creating a sound with a more pronounced attack.
In addition, we have a lineup of maple fingerboards that tend to have a brighter sound. In addition to the sound, the look has also changed significantly; the ebony fingerboard has white binding on the fingerboard and head, while the maple fingerboard has black binding to emphasize the contrast.
