Born in 1978, the M-36 is a rare model among the Martin Standard Series, with a playing feel similar to the 000 and OM, and the extended sustain of a dreadnought.
The M shape is a body shape called GrandAuditorium or 0000 Force Or Quadraau.
When you look at the instrument from the front, it looks similar to the 000 shape, but the body width is Martin's largest at 16 inches.
The thickness of the body is similar to the 000 size, and it is thin, so it fits well when held, and the wide body allows for a well-balanced yet powerful sound output.
The back is a 3-piece back like the Style 35, which is sure to tickle the hearts of Martin fans.
It is also famous as the model beloved by Beatles producer George Martin.
