Purchased by me some years ago as part of a static/display only collection. Test run on receipt then put away until now.
Tested for this listing on a 1
yard length of straight track using a Gaugemaster DS controller. Despite not having been run in nearly 20 years, loco runs well in both directions with no hesitations detected. Note, however, Mainline mechanisms tend to be rather raspy and can grind a bit. This model is no exception but these characteristics do not affect performance.
Although running well, given how long the model has lain unused, it would benefit from light lubrication of moving parts followed by a period of running in, ideally on a rolling road.
The driving wheel treads are very shiny - see photograph - which would appear to confirm this model's display only condition. The loco is in beautiful condition overall.

Box in extremely good condition - no price stickers or remains of same. The internal polystyrene insert is extremely clean and undamaged.
Will be securely packaged in a
stout outer box and sent post free by Royal Mail Second Class.
